Rather predictable result when ninth ranked Timisoara (4-4) smashed at home 13th ranked Miercurea Ciuc (1-9) 83-55. The game without a history. Timisoara led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American guard Sherwood Brown (193-91, college: FGCU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian point guard Igor Mijajlovic (192-84) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Four Timisoara players scored in double figures. Lithuanian power forward Dainius Chatkevicius (206-95, college: Evansville) answered with 9 points and 8 rebounds and Canadian forward Emanual Shepherd (203-95, college: Southern) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Miercurea Ciuc. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Timisoara maintains ninth place with 4-4 record.
