The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Cluj Napoca as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Cluj Napoca defeated 7th ranked Craiova at home 75-68. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 24-8 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American swingman Patrick Richard (196-90, college: McNeese St., agency: Inception Sports) who scored 17 points. Bosnian-Croatian center Andrija Stipanovic (208-86, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cluj Napoca (8-0) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Craiova at the other side keeps the seventh place with four games lost. They share the position with Timisoara. Craiova will play next round against strong Oradea trying to get back on the winning streak. Cluj Napoca will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Sibiu at home.
