Regular Season Round 12: Constanta - Galati 60-82

Bottom-ranked Constanta (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 82-60 loss to twelfth ranked Galati (2-7) in Constanta. The game was mostly controlled by Galati. Constanta was better in fourth quarter 16-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Galati shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for Serbian center Tarik Bruncevic (205-95) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Josh Brown (190-94, college: Temple) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Five Galati players scored in double figures. American guard Siler Schneider (190-95, college: UC Davis, agency: One Motive Sports) replied with 11 points and 8 assists and forward Stefan Daniel Mainea (198-98) added 8 points in the effort for Constanta. Constanta's coach Alexandru Olteanu gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Galati moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Targu Jiu. Constanta at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Galati will play against Focsani (#12) on the road in the next round. Constanta will have a break next round.
