Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Istanbul: Dacka (#7) and Acibadem (#10). Acibadem was defeated at home 76-85 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Dacka had a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Acibadem was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American center Grant Jerrett (208-93, college: Arizona) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-96) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American Thomas Robinson (208-91, college: Kansas, agency: Network Sports International) with 17 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Jamal Jones (203-93, college: Texas A&M, agency: Network Sports International) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Acibadem players scored in double figures. Acibadem's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Dacka maintains seventh position with 8-8 record. Loser Acibadem dropped to the eleventh place with 11 games lost. Dacka will face Buyukcekmece (#9) at home in the next round. Acibadem will play against Turk Telekom in Ankara and hope to win that game.
