Regular Season Round 16: Hoverla - Politekhn.Lvov 48-60

Bottom-ranked Hoverla (0-14) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 60-48 loss to sixth ranked Politekhn.Lvov (6-6) in Ivano-Frankivsk on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Politekhn.Lvov. Hoverla managed to win second period 19-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Politekhn.Lvov held Hoverla to an opponent 18.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 38.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Guard Vadym Gorbatyi (192-98) fired 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Danilo Kych (193-0) chipped in 18 points and 4 steals. Politekhn.Lvov is looking forward to face league's second-placed Lutsk Univ. on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hoverla will play against BIPA O.
