Regular Season Round 30: Gargzdu - Palanga 72-71

Eighth-ranked Palanga (9-8) made lots of trouble for first ranked Gargzdu (15-7) in Gargzdai. Gargzdu managed to secure only one-point victory 72-71. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a good game for point guard Deividas Anuzis (183-92) who saved his team from a defeat with 12 points and 6 assists. Swingman Mantas Ruikis (197-85) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-85, college: Virginia) replied with 12 points and 6 rebounds and forward Ginas Mulevicius (200-0) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Palanga. Despite that victory Gargzdu went down to second position due to points difference, which they share with Zalgiris II. Palanga at the other side keeps the eighth place with eight games lost. Gargzdu will play against Vilnius (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Palanga will play against Delikatesas in Joniskis and hopes to get back on the winning track.
