Regular Season Round 30: Neptunas-Akv. - Gargzdu 94-68

Round in NKL means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Klaipeda where host Neptunas-Akv. (6-13) crushed league's leader Gargzdu (15-7) 94-68 on Thursday evening. Neptunas-Akv. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Adomas Sidarevicius (188-1) who scored 16 points and 8 assists. Lukas Kreismontas (197-1) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Oskaras Pleikys (202-1, agency: BIG) who recorded 13 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Ernestas Bruzas (182-96) added 13 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Neptunas-Akv. moved-up to twelfth place. Gargzdu at the other side dropped to the second position with seven games lost. They share it with Zalgiris II. They were replaced at the leadership position by Suduva-Mantinga. Gargzdu will play next round against Vilnius trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Neptunas-Akv. will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Jonava on the road.
