Regular Season Round 31: Silales Lusis - Silute 85-65

Silales Lusis' fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after 20 consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they outplayed much higher ranked Silute (13-9) 85-65. Silales Lusis dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Silute's 24. It was a great evening for forward Ignas Dauksys (198-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. Tadas Kymantas (186-95) helped adding 23 points. At the losing side point guard Linas Lekavicius (186-84, college: American) responded with 17 points and 5 assists and the former international forward Valdas Vasylius (203-83, college: ODU) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Silales Lusis maintains fifteenth place with 1-20 record. Silute at the other side keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Silales Lusis will play against league's leader Zalgiris II in Kaunas in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Silute will have a break next round.
