Regular Season Round 31: Gargzdu - Vilnius 73-80

The game between second ranked Gargzdu (15-8) and tenth ranked Vilnius (8-12) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Gargzdu was defeated by Vilnius in a tough game in Gargzdai 73-80. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Arnas Adomavicius (193-0, college: UNCG) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds. Greek Andreas Kalogiros (198-2) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Modestas Kumpys (194-91, agency: BIG) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and center Oskaras Pleikys (202-1, agency: BIG) added 15 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Gargzdu. Four Gargzdu players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vilnius maintains tenth place with 8-12 record. Gargzdu at the other side dropped to the third position with eight games lost. Vilnius are looking forward to face Neptunas-Akv. (#12) in Klaipeda in the next round. Gargzdu will play at home against Telsiai (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
