The game between closely ranked teams ended with twelfth ranked Mersin Univ.'s (4-7) road victory over 13th ranked Botas (2-8) 71-66. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Caliya Robinson (190-97, college: Georgia) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Deniz Aygul (186-95) accounted for 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. American center Tearra Banks (188-95, college: Austin Peay) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and Hatice Gulcelik (178-2) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Botas in the defeat. Botas' coach Cemal Gozeneli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mersin Univ. moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Bodrum. Botas lost their third game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Mersin Univ.'s next round opponent will be higher ranked Edremit (#4) in Balikesir and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Botas will play on the road against Antalya 07 (#3) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
