Bottom-ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of seven consecutive losses on Saturday night. This time they won against eleventh-ranked Lions in Karlsruhe 88-82. Ehingen/Urspringschule dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Lions' 34. American point guard Jack Pagenkopf (190-97, college: Dixie St.) nailed 17 points and 8 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import DeQuan Abrom (188-96, college: Belm.Abbey) accounted for 20 points. Ehingen/Urspringschule's coach Domenik Reinboth used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized American Daniel Norl (191-95, college: Omaha) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and American Kavin Gilder-Tilbury (201-94, college: Texas St.) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively for Lions in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ehingen/Urspringschule maintains fifteenth place with 2-11 record. Loser Lions keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Tuebingen. Ehingen/Urspringschule will meet at home higher ranked Phoenix Hagen (#13) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
