A very close game took place in Istanbul between Dacka and Buyukcekmece. Seventh ranked Dacka (9-8) got a very close home victory over 9th ranked Buyukcekmece (7-11). Dacka managed to escape with a 3-point win 85-82 on Saturday evening. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for Andrew Andrews (188-93, college: Washington) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 4 assists. Guard William Buford (196-90, college: Ohio St.) helped adding 17 points. At the losing side Devin Oliver (204-92, college: Dayton) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists and Karvel Anderson (188-91, college: RMU) scored 21 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Dacka. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Tofas. Buyukcekmece lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. Dacka will meet higher ranked Afyon Bld (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Buyukcekmece will play against Turk Telekom (#4) and hope to secure a win.
