Regular Season Round 19: Mykolaiv - Cherkasy 76-83

The game between closely ranked teams ended with tenth ranked Cherkasy's (5-13) road victory over bottom-ranked Mykolaiv (3-12) 83-76 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-13. But Mykolaiv won third quarter 24-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Cherkasy won last quarter 26-20. American guard Cameron Jones (193-89, college: NAU, agency: BIG) fired 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Center Dmytro Skapintsev (216-98) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Maks Adam Konate (202-91, agency: BIG) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Nathan Adrian (206-95, college: WVU, agency: Inception Sports) added 22 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Cherkasy have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place. Mykolaiv at the other side stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Cherkasy are looking forward to face higher ranked Zaporizhye (#6) in Zaporozhye in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mykolaiv will play on the road against K.Sokoly (#10) in Kharkiv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
