A very close game took place in Karlsruhe between Muenchen 2 and Arvato College Wizards. Sixth ranked Muenchen 2 (7-5) got a very close victory on the road over 8th ranked Arvato College Wizards (4-6). Muenchen 2 managed to escape with a 3-point win 91-88 on Saturday evening. Muenchen 2 shot 63.6 percent from the field. Muenchen 2 outrebounded Arvato College Wizards 25-11. It was a great shooting night for Muenchen 2 especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 62.5 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for Austrian point guard Erol Ersek (193-99) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 6 assists. Lukas Zerner (200-0) accounted for 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Muenchen 2's coach Andreas Wagner used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Center Eyke Prahst (209-97) came up with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Christoph Rupp (195-94) added 23 points respectively for Arvato College Wizards in the defeat. Four Arvato College Wizards players scored in double figures. Muenchen 2 maintains sixth place in South with 7-5 record. Newly promoted Arvato College Wizards keep the eighth position with six games lost. Muenchen 2 will meet at home league's leader Coburg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Arvato College Wizards will play against White Wings (#7) in Hanau and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
