Fourteenth-ranked Nuernberg (2-7) used its home court advantage to challenge ninth ranked Artland Dragons (7-5). The visitors from Quakenbrueck managed to secure only three-point victory 82-79. However their fans expected much easier game. Artland Dragons made 22-of-25 charity shots (88.0 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Nuernberg helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was center Robert Oehle (209-88) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Jacob Knauf (210-97) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Artland Dragons' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Kirchheim Knights at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nuernberg will play against Lions (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
