LCC Tarp.'s fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after 11 consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Kibirkstis-VKM (1-12) 72-67 on Tuesday. LCC Tarp. shot 23 for 32 from the free-throw line, while Kibirkstis-VKM only scored six points from the stripe. 26 personal fouls committed by Kibirkstis-VKM helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Evelina Razgute (181-3) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Rusne Bugaite (179-3) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four LCC Tarp. players scored in double figures. LCC Tarp.'s coach Vilius Stanisauskas used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Dominyka Gerkyte (172-3) answered with 21 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and center Gerda Raulusaityte (185-4) added 16 points in the effort for Kibirkstis-VKM. LCC Tarp. (1-11) left bottom position moving up to fifth place. Kibirkstis-VKM at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. LCC Tarp. are looking forward to face league's leader Kibirkstis in Vilnius in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kibirkstis-VKM will play on the road against the league's second-placed Aistes-LSMU (#2) in Kaunas and is hoping to win this game.
