Regular Season Round 20: Afyon - Darussafaka 80-79

The most exciting game of round 20 in the BSL took place in Afyonkarahisar. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Dacka (9-10) to sixth ranked Afyon Bld (11-8) 80-79 on Saturday evening. Afyon Bld looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American swingman JP Macura (196-95, college: Xavier) saved the victory by scoring 22 points and 5 steals. The other American import point guard Chris Wright (185-89, college: Georgetown) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 assists for the winners. Four Afyon Bld players scored in double figures. American Andrew Andrews (188-93, college: Washington) replied with 28 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and international point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-96) added 12 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Dacka. Dacka's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Afyon Bld have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Turk Telekom. Dacka at the other side keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Gaziantep.
