Regular Season Round 20: Budivelnyk - Khimik 82-91

The game in Kyiv was quite interesting. Fifth ranked Khimik (12-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Budivelnyk (6-12). Khimik managed to secure a 9-point victory 91-82 on Saturday. Budivelnyk trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 20-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 82-91 at the end of the game. Khimik made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Budivelnyk turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Budivelnyk helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. Five Budivelnyk players scored in double figures. Budivelnyk's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Khimik moved-up to third place. Budivelnyk lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 12 games lost. Khimik are looking forward to face league's leader Kyiv Basket at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Budivelnyk will play against Prometey (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
