BBL top team - EnBW Ludwigsburg (14-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighteenth ranked 46ers (2-13) 99-85. 46ers were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American point guard Jaleen Smith (193-94, college: UNH) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized Cuban swingman Yorman Polas Bartolo (191-85) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American center John Bryant (211-87, college: Santa Clara) with 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Brandon Bowman (206-84, college: Georgetown, agency: David Lee Services) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five EnBW Ludwigsburg and four 46ers players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. EnBW Ludwigsburg have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-1 record. 46ers lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against EWE Baskets (#3) in Oldenburg in the next round, which may be the game of the day. 46ers will play at home against the league's second-placed Crailsheim Merlins (#2) and hope to get back on the winning track.
