Regular Season Round 15: Bayern - Crailsheim 103-105

The most exciting game of round 15 in the BBL took place in Muenchen. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Bayern Muenchen (11-3) to third ranked Crailsheim Merlins (13-2) 105-103 on Sunday evening. Crailsheim Merlins made 33-of-42 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Bayern Muenchen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Canadian guard Trae Bell-Haynes (188-95, college: Vermont) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 assists. The former international center Bogdan Radosavljevic (213-93) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners. American DJ Seeley (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) answered with 29 points and the other American import swingman Nick Weiler-Babb (196-95, college: Iowa St., agency: Wasserman) added 24 points in the effort for Bayern Muenchen. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Crailsheim Merlins have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Oldenburg. Bayern Muenchen at the other side keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Crailsheim Merlins is looking forward to face bottom-ranked 46ers (#18) in Giessen in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Bayern Muenchen will play at home against Telekom Baskets (#16) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
