Regular Season Round 35: Neptunas-Akv. - Vytis 61-74

There was no surprise in Klaipeda where 10th ranked Neptunas-Akv. (9-14) was defeated by fifth ranked Vytis (15-5) 74-61 on Tuesday. Vytis looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for the former international center Darjus Lavrinovic (212-79) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 8 rebounds. The former international center Ksistof Lavrinovic (210-79) helped adding 10 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Nojus Mineikis (201-0) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and guard Matas Vaitkus (183-0) scored 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Vytis moved-up to fourth place. Loser Neptunas-Akv. dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Vytis will meet at home Vilnius (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Neptunas-Akv. will play against Vilkaviskis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
