The game in Klaipeda was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked P.Zvaigzdes (8-10) played at the court of seventh ranked Neptunas (7-12). Neptunas managed to secure a 6-point victory 99-93. It looked good early as P.Zvaigzdes took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Neptunas had a 29-17 second period charge getting the lead and P.Zvaigzdes was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 93-99. Neptunas shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by P.Zvaigzdes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for guard Evaldas Saulys (191-93) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). The former international guard Zygimantas Janavicius (193-89) accounted for 12 points and 9 assists for the winning side. Neptunas' coach Tomas Gaidamavicius allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Serbian-Bulgarian guard Branko Mirkovic (190-82, agency: 011 Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 assists and American-Argentinian center Daniel Amigo (208-95, college: Denver) added 20 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) respectively for P.Zvaigzdes in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neptunas moved-up to sixth place. P.Zvaigzdes at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Neptunas' next round opponent will be Dzukija (#9) in Alytus. P.Zvaigzdes will play on the road against the league's leader Zalgiris (#1) in Kaunas and hope to win that game.
