Regular Season Round 21: Turk Telekom - Afyon 89-86

The most exciting game of round 21 in the BSL took place in Ankara. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Afyon Bld (11-9) to fourth ranked Turk Telekom (12-8) 89-86 in the game for the fourth place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Afyon Bld. Canadian power forward Kyle Wiltjer (208-92, college: Gonzaga) stepped up and scored 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and the former international power forward Samet Geyik (206-93) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American swingman JP Macura (196-95, college: Xavier) with 25 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Chris Wright (185-89, college: Georgetown) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 assists. Five Turk Telekom and four Afyon Bld players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 12-8 record. Afyon Bld at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Tofas. Turk Telekom are looking forward to face league's second-placed Pinar Karsiyaka on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Afyon Bld will play against Acibadem and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
