There was a small surprise in Wuerzburg where fifteenth ranked BG Goettingen (5-11) defeated 12th ranked s Oliver Baskets (5-11) 87-82 on Saturday. BG Goettingen made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. s Oliver Baskets were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Tai Odiase (206-95, college: UIC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import swingman Aubrey Dawkins (198-95, college: UCF, agency: Network Sports International) who added 17 points during the contest. Four BG Goettingen players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Cameron Hunt (192-97, college: Southwestern, KS) responded with 15 points and 5 assists and the former international Alex King (201-85) scored 22 points (made all of his seven free throws). Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. BG Goettingen moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with MBC and Wuerzburg. s Oliver Baskets lost fourth consecutive game. BG Goettingen will face higher ranked Bayreuth (#10) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
