Regular Season Round 15: Perushtitsa - Nesebar 68-114

The game between Top Four teams took place in Perushtitsa. 4th placed host Perushtitsa (0-4) was smashed by second ranked Nesebar (5-1) 114-68. Nesebar dominated down low during the game scoring 92 of its points in the paint compared to Perushtitsa's 26. Nesebar forced 22 Perushtitsa turnovers and outrebounded them 53-30 including a 40-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 35 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Perushtitsa's players. It was a good game for guard Dimitar Naydenov (185-80) who led his team to a victory with 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 18-of-21 shooting from the field). Guard Stoyan Milchev (185-95) contributed with a triple-double by scoring 12 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Five Nesebar players scored in double figures. Nesebar's coach Stoycho Kukuchev felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Petar Izevkov (185-99) answered with 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Stanislav Tenov (175-98) added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Perushtitsa. The victory was the third consecutive win for Nesebar. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Yambol 2. Perushtitsa lost their fourth game in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Nesebar will have a break next round. Perushtitsa will play on the road against Lokomotiv GO (#3) in Gorna Oryahovitsa and hopes to get finally their first victory.
