Regular Season Round 18: Itzehoe - Bernau 101-85

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Itzehoe (12-6) won against at home 10th ranked SSV Lok Bernau (4-12) 101-85 on Wednesday. Itzehoe dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to SSV Lok Bernau's 40. Itzehoe had a 24-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American Christopher Hooper (198-91, college: SFC) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Yasin Kolo (208-92, college: Bellarmine) chipped in 22 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Evans Rapieque (193-2) who recorded 10 points and 7 assists and Christoph Tilly (210-3) added 17 points respectively. Four Itzehoe and five SSV Lok Bernau players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Itzehoe maintains third position in North with 12-6 record having just one point less than leader Bochum. SSV Lok Bernau lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 12 games lost. Itzehoe will face Sixers (#4) in Sandersdorf in the next round. SSV Lok Bernau will play on the road against ETV (#12) in Hamburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
