BBL top team - EnBW Ludwigsburg (17-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat seventeenth ranked Rasta Vechta (3-15) 84-66. EnBW Ludwigsburg forced 21 Rasta Vechta turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American point guard Jaleen Smith (193-94, college: UNH) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and U.S. Virgin Islands forward Desi Rodriguez (198-96, college: Seton Hall) chipped in 20 points during the contest. Four EnBW Ludwigsburg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Will Vorhees (203-95, college: NDC) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Jordan Barnett (201-95, college: Missouri) scored 17 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. EnBW Ludwigsburg have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-1 record. Rasta Vechta lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 15 games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against s Oliver Baskets (#15) in Wuerzburg in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Rasta Vechta will play at home against Braunschweig and hopes to get back on the winning track.
