Regular Season Round 22: Canik Belediye - Adana Basket 79-55

Canik Belediye has finally registered their first victory this season after 18 consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Adana Basket (2-17) 79-55 on Saturday. Canik Belediye looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American Stephanie Madden (186-88, college: Langston, agency: Areus Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 23 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Dilan Calis (-94) chipped in 13 points and 8 assists. Point guard Ezgi Manlaci (177-96) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Oyku Taskin (172-0) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Canik Belediye maintains fourteenth position with 1-18 record. It was Adana Basket's thirteenth loss in a row. They keep the thirteenth place with 17 games lost. Canik Belediye will meet higher ranked Nesibe (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Adana Basket's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Adana Botas.
