Very important is a home loss of second ranked Titans (11-4) against eleventh ranked Speyer (4-9) on Saturday night. Host Titans were defeated by Speyer in Dresden 83-72. They made 28-of-32 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Speyer forced 21 Titans turnovers. Strangely Titans outrebounded Speyer 37-23 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Titans were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Morris Hintz (193-95) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Marc Liyanage (199-90, college: Delta St.) contributed with 18 points and 7 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners. Daniel Kirchner (187-97) replied with 26 points, 6 assists and 5 steals and center Aaron Kayser (205-99) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Titans. Titans' coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Speyer moved-up to tenth place in South. Titans at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Speyer will play against higher ranked Skyliners II (#9) in Frankfurt in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Titans will play at home against Muenchen 2 (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
