Regular Season Round 15: Horsholm - Herlev 64-67

Important game to mention about took place in Horsholm. Second ranked Herlev (9-3) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Horsholm (5-6) 67-64 on Saturday evening. Horsholm cut a 22-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. Herlev forced 20 Horsholm turnovers and outrebounded them 42-31 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for international forward Laura Ziegler (186-2) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. International guard Ida Preetzmann (175-90, college: TCU) accounted for 10 points and 4 assists for the winning side. International forward Gritt Ryder (173-92, college: Colorado St.) came up with 18 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals and international guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-93) added 21 points and 4 assists respectively for Horsholm in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Herlev have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 9-3 record having just one point less than leader Amager. Defending champion Horsholm keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Herlev will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Horsholm will play again on the road against the league's second-placed Herlev (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
