There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Rotenburg/Scheessel (2-6) defeated at home higher ranked TG Neuss (3-5) 89-73 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American forward Maddie Simon (188-97, college: Nebraska) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Mirja Beckmann (187-98) helped adding 18 points. Four Rotenburg/Scheessel players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Jana Meyer (174-91) with 25 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian guard Jill Stratton (180-91, college: Toronto) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Rotenburg/Scheessel moved-up to seventh place in North. Loser TG Neuss keep the sixth position with five games lost.
