Important game to mention about took place in Chemnitz. Tenth ranked Chemnitz (7-11) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 4th placed Bayern Muenchen (14-4) 85-83 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Bayern Muenchen. Chemnitz shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for guard Marcus Thornton (193-93, college: William & Mary) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 assists. Guard George King (198-94, college: Colorado, agency: Slash Sports) accounted for 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Four Chemnitz players scored in double figures. Center Jalen Reynolds (207-92, college: Xavier) came up with 19 points and swingman Nick Weiler-Babb (196-95, college: Iowa St., agency: Wasserman) added 17 points and 5 steals respectively for Bayern Muenchen in the defeat. Bayern Muenchen's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Chemnitz have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place. Bayern Muenchen at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
