Round in TBL means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Balikesir where host Balikesir (11-7) beat league's leader Samsun (11-7) 84-75 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Samsun. Balikesir made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Myles Mack (178-93, college: Rutgers, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 30 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Bahamas center Zane Knowles (208-92, college: TAMUCC, agency: BIG) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Balikesir's coach Mustafa Mavili used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Kahlil Dukes (183-95, college: Niagara, agency: Alti Sport) who recorded 28 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Ahmet Cantitiz (193-92) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Balikesir moved-up to third place, which they share with Samsun and Bornova. Samsun will play next round against Ankara Basket trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Balikesir will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked Final Spor in Bursa.
