Regular Season Round 41: Ezerunas - Telsiai 72-88

Very expected game in Moletai where 10th ranked Ezerunas (10-17) was defeated by fifth ranked Telsiai (18-7) 88-72. Telsiai dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Ezerunas' 40 and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Ezerunas 34-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. Telsiai players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Power forward Mindaugas Norkus (201-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Forward Vilius Pocius (196-95) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Rokas Pocius (198-96) answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and swingman Evaldas Dziaugys (196-96) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Ezerunas. Five Telsiai and four Ezerunas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Telsiai. They moved-up to fourth place. Ezerunas at the other side keeps the tenth position with 17 games lost. Telsiai will play against Gargzdu (#6) in Gargzdai in the next round. Ezerunas will have a break next round.
