Important game to mention about took place in Hatay. Ninth ranked Hatay (10-10) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 4th placed Cankaya (13-7) 109-108 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cankaya. Hatay made 22-of-23 charity shots (95.7 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Senegalese-Spanish center Astou Ndour (198-94) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). American swingman Alexis Prince (188-94, college: Baylor) contributed with a triple-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. American point guard Tan White (170-82, college: MSU) answered with 44 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and the other American import power forward Avery Warley-Talbert (190-87, college: Liberty) added 18 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) in the effort for Cankaya. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Hatay. They maintain ninth place with 10-10 record. Cankaya at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Hatay will play against higher ranked Izmit (#8) in Kocaeli in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cankaya will play at home against the league's second-placed Galatasaray (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
