No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked White Wings (9-9) beat 11th ranked Oberhaching (4-13) in Hanau 85-67 on Saturday. White Wings made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Oberhaching was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for Matthias Fichtner (197-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Spanish center Eduard Arques (202-94) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four White Wings players scored in double figures. Janosch Koegler (190-93) answered with 18 points and Bernhard Benke (208-97) added 5 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Oberhaching. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. White Wings moved-up to sixth place in South, which they share with Koblenz. Oberhaching lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 13 games lost. White Wings will face higher ranked Muenchen 2 (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Oberhaching will play against Arvato College Wizards (#8) and hope to win that game.
