ProB top team - Coburg (14-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Koblenz (9-9) 99-72. Coburg made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Point guard Constantin Ebert (183-96) fired 24 points for the winners (made all of his eight free throws). Naturalized Croatian Mateo Seric (204-99) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Coburg's coach Valentino Lott felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Brian Butler (196-91) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and American DJ Woodmore (190-92, college: VWU) added 16 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Coburg. They maintain first place in South with 14-5 record. Newly promoted Koblenz keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Coburg's next round opponent will be Skyliners II (#9) in Frankfurt and are hoping to win another game. Koblenz will play at home against Erfurt and hope to win that game.
