Top ranked Amager (10-3) recorded its third loss in Kastrup on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Horsholm (6-7) 80-75. Horsholm looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. International forward Gritt Ryder (173-92, college: Colorado St.) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. International guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-93) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. The former international Rikke Fabricius (187-92, college: CMU) produced 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international guard Emilie Fogelstrom (166-92) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four Amager players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains third position with 6-7 record having four points less than leader Amager, which they share with Aabyhoj. Amager at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost. They share the position with Herlev. Horsholm will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Amager will play at home against Aabyhoj and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
