There was no surprise in Kharkov where 6th ranked Mariupol (9-12) was outplayed by second ranked Polytechnic (17-1) 123-55 on Sunday. The game without a history. Polytechnic led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Mariupol's 44 and made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game, while Mariupol only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded Mariupol 59-17 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Christian Bradford (185-95, college: Radford, agency: BIG) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Sergey Startsev (190-97, agency: BIG) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists during the contest. Bradford is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Polytechnic players scored in double figures. Polytechnic's coach Timur Arabadzhy felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Maksym Lukyanov (197-94, agency: BIG) responded with 10 points and 4 assists and guard Eduard Kitsello (193-94) scored 12 points. Polytechnic have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-1 record having just 2 victories less than leader Krivbas. Mariupol lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 12 games lost. Polytechnic will face MBC-Niko 2 (#3) in Mykolaiv in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
