Regular Season Round 18: Osnabrueck - Hannover 75-73

Tenth-ranked Hannover (5-13) gave a tough game to sixth ranked Osnabrueck (9-7). Osnabrueck managed to secure only two-point victory 75-73. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a good game for American forward Samantha Fuehring (190-97, college: Louisville) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Frieda Buehner (184-4) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Osnabrueck players scored in double figures. American point guard Stephanie Gardner (170-92, college: ODU) replied with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Belarusian guard Alexandra Tarasava (172-88) added 16 points in the effort for Hannover. Hannover's coach Juliane Hoehne tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Osnabrueck moved-up to fifth place. Hannover at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Osnabrueck's next round opponent will be Eisvogel Freiburg (#6) on the road. Hannover will play against Blue Dolphins and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
