The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Jonava (24-4) in Gargzdai on Tuesday night. Visitors were rolled over by sixth ranked Gargzdu (17-10) 105-83. Gargzdu shot 60.3 percent from the field. Gargzdu had a 28-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 65.4 percentage. Gargzdu looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for swingman Mantas Ruikis (197-85) who led his team to a victory with 40 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Guard Modestas Kumpys (194-91, agency: BIG) contributed with 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international swingman Edvinas Seskus (196-95, agency: BIG) replied with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Liam OReilly (188-96, college: Gardner-Webb) added 21 points in the effort for Jonava. Four Gargzdu and five Jonava players scored in double figures. Gargzdu maintains sixth position with 17-10 record. Jonava at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost.
