Very expected game when 10th ranked Speyer (6-11) was defeated at home by second ranked Titans (14-4) 87-70 on Thursday. Titans dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Speyer's 24. Titans had a 25-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Titans especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Lennard Larysz (194-97) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 assists and center Georg Voigtmann (213-94) who added 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Darian Cardenas (199-95) responded with 24 points and 4 assists and center David Aichele (212-99) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Titans have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position in South with 14-4 record having just three points less than leader Bochum. Loser Speyer keeps the tenth place with 11 games lost. Titans will face Koblenz (#5) at home in the next round. Speyer will play against Koblenz (#5) and hope to win that game.
