An exciting game was played in Herlev. Second ranked Herlev faced 3rd ranked Horsholm. Host Herlev (10-3) smashed guests from Horsholm (6-7) 57-32. The game without a history. Herlev led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Horsholm to just 4 points in third quarter and to 12 points in second half. Herlev held Horsholm to an opponent 21.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.5 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Horsholm 51-31 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Laura Ziegler (186-2) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. International forward Emilie Hesseldal (186-90, college: Colorado St.) contributed with 4 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. International guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-93) replied with 10 points and 6 rebounds and forward Clara Busch (186-1) added 3 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Horsholm. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Herlev have an impressive five-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Amager lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Defending champion Horsholm keeps the third place with seven games lost. They share the position with Aabyhoj. Herlev will play against bottom-ranked SISU (#5) in Copenhagen in the next round. Horsholm will have a break next round.
