We should mention about the upset which took place in Istanbul, where higher ranked Fenerbahce G. (6-10) lost at home to thirteenth ranked Botas (5-11) 67-74 on Friday. Botas forced 21 Fenerbahce G. turnovers. Strangely Fenerbahce G. outrebounded Botas 40-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Hatice Gulcelik (178-2) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 assists for the winners and American center Tearra Banks (188-95, college: Austin Peay) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Merve Ari (180-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and American center Shelby Cheslek (196-92, college: Gonzaga) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 19 rebounds. Botas moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Karsiyaka and Bodrum. Fenerbahce G. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
