Regular Season Round 27: Ch.Mavpy 2 - Rivne 60-92

Higher League top team - Rivne (16-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Ch.Mavpy 2 (1-15) in Cherkasy 92-60. The game was mostly controlled by Rivne. Ch.Mavpy 2 was better in third quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rivne forced 27 Ch.Mavpy 2 turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Illya Zhukovskiy (200-93, agency: BIG) who scored 23 points. Forward Oleksandr Shepelev (201-94) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Vladislav Melnyk (203-99) who recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds and forward Yuriy Romanovskyy (193-1) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Rivne. They maintain first place with 16-1 record. Ch.Mavpy 2 lost their eleventh game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 15 games lost. Rivne will have a break next round. Ch.Mavpy 2 will play again at home against the league's leader Rivne (#1) and hope to win that game.
