It was a great evening for American point guard Kasey Hill (185-93, college: Florida) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 6 assists. His fellow American import point guard Zamal Nixon (185-89, college: Houston) helped adding 10 points and 5 assists. Finnish Elias Valtonen (199-99, college: ASU, agency: Blacktop Management) responded with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and American forward Ryan Mikesell (201-96, college: Dayton) scored 11 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Science City Jena maintains first place with 13-4 record. Loser Walter Tigers keep the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Science City Jena will meet at home bottom-ranked Nuernberg (#15) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Walter Tigers will play against Kirchheim Knights and hope to secure a win.
