Regular Season Round 21: Hamburg - Ludwigsburg 67-73

BBL top team - EnBW Ludwigsburg (18-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Hamburg Towers (10-8) 73-67. They outrebounded Hamburg Towers 43-28 including 17 on the offensive glass. American players dominated the game. Point guard Jaleen Smith (193-94, college: UNH) stepped up and scored 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners and Jordan Hulls (180-90, college: Indiana) chipped in 14 points. The best for the losing side was point guard TJ Shorts (175-97, college: UC Davis) with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and forward Terry Allen (203-93, college: Richmond) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. EnBW Ludwigsburg have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-1 record. Newly promoted Hamburg Towers keep the seventh position with eight games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against Chemnitz (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hamburg Towers will play against Chemnitz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
