Another exciting game was between eighth ranked Cherkasy and 4th placed Zaporizhye where host Cherkasy (9-15) won against Zaporizhye (15-9) 81-71. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Zaporizhye. Zaporizhye was ahead by 11 points at the halftime before a 49-28 second half run of Cherkasy. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Dion Wright (201-93, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import guard Cameron Jones (193-89, college: NAU, agency: BIG) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Cherkasy players scored in double figures. American point guard Mike Caffey (183-93, college: LBSU, agency: Players Group) answered with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Andriy Grytsak (198-0) added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Zaporizhye. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cherkasy have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 9-15 record. Zaporizhye at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost.
