Very expected game in Frankfurt where 18th ranked Rasta Vechta (3-19) was defeated by tenth ranked Skyliners (9-13) 84-75 on Thursday. Skyliners looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Matt Mobley (193-94, college: St.Bonaventure) had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Icelandic guard Jon Axel Gudmundsson (195-96, college: Davidson) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Four Skyliners players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Will Vorhees (203-95, college: NDC) responded with 15 points and forward Robin Christen (202-91) scored 16 points. Rasta Vechta's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Skyliners moved-up to ninth place. Rasta Vechta lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 19 lost games. Skyliners will face 46ers (#17) in Giessen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rasta Vechta will play at home against ratiopharm Ulm and hope to win that game.
