Regular Season Round 21: Dresden - Koblenz 81-79

Fifth-ranked Koblenz (11-10) made lots of trouble for first ranked Titans (16-4) in Dresden. Titans managed to secure only two-point victory 81-79. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Koblenz. Titans players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for point guard Lennard Larysz (194-97) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Center Aaron Kayser (205-99) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Titans players scored in double figures. Forward Brian Butler (196-91) answered with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Philipp Lieser (194-89, college: CWU) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for Koblenz. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Titans. They maintain first place in South with 16-4 record. Newly promoted Koblenz dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. Titans will play against White Wings (#7) in Hanau in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Koblenz will play at home against Giessen 2 and hopes to get back on the winning track.
